The EMT provides basic life support (BLS) care and safe medical transportation to patients in emergency and non‑emergency settings. EMTs are responsible for patient assessment, stabilization, and transport while maintaining professionalism and compliance with all state and company protocols.

• Respond to emergency and non‑emergency calls for service
• Assess patient condition and provide appropriate BLS care
• Safely operate ambulance and related equipment
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospitals, and care teams
• Complete accurate patient care reports (PCRs)
• Maintain ambulance, equipment, and supplies in a state of readiness
• Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations

• Current EMT‑B certification (Ohio or Iowa, or ability to obtain reciprocity)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• 1+ year EMT experience
• EVOC or CEVO certification
• Familiarity with local service areas
