Responsibilities

As an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Technician, you will be participating in a rewarding work environment in a Hospital Pharmacy setting. The role will involve interacting with pharmacists, nurses, physicians and patients daily. You will have the opportunity to work alongside pharmacists in providing care to patients with a range of duties. Training includes sterile IV compounding, use of automated dispensing systems (Omnicell), repackaging systems, IV compounding systems and inventory management processes.

You will work with the EPIC health information system and Microsoft Suite resources as part of an integrated health care organization. You may grow into roles exposing you to specialty areas as your tenure with this organization continues. We welcome you to the team—please apply.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous retail pharmacy or related hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Current registration as a Registered Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio, or the expectation of gaining this registration within 6 months of hire.
  • Accurate work with careful attention to detail.
  • Excellent math and computer skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, coworkers and other health professionals; cohesive team‑building skills.
  • Must write legibly, speak, and read English proficiently; operate computer, calculator, telephone and other pharmacy equipment.
  • Adapt to changes in workload and schedule to meet patient needs; set and reset priorities as required.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical and organizational skills are required for this position.
