PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) (FULL TIME)

Location:

Premier Health – 2400 Miami Valley Drive, Dayton, OH 45459. Applications accepted online only.

Schedule:

Full‑time with open availability. Mid‑shift coverage required, days may vary and include rotating weekends.

Pay: $16.00 per hour. Uniforms provided.

Patient Dining Associates deliver patient meals, assist with menu selection, and help maintain a safe and welcoming dining experience. They collaborate with nursing, dietitians, and culinary staff to meet each patient’s dietary needs, ensuring accurate and on‑time delivery.

• Help patients understand menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, cultural preferences, or special requests.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and promptly; retrieve trays from patient rooms as scheduled.
• Comply with regulatory standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and HIPAA confidentiality policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and infection control procedures during food handling and workstation cleaning.
• Assist dietitians with patients on liquid diets, restricted calorie counts, or special feeding methods.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete required daily, weekly, or monthly reports according to company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Basic English reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
