• Before Surgery
  :
  Sterilize the operating room, surgical tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and sterile environment;
  Prepare patients for surgery, including disinfecting incision sites;
  Gather and arrange surgical instruments, sponges, and other supplies.
• During Surgery
  :
  Assist the surgeon by passing instruments and holding retractors as needed;
  Maintain a sterile field to prevent infections and complications;
  Monitor blood and fluid loss, ensuring all instruments and materials are accounted for.
• After Surgery
  :
  Close surgical wounds and apply dressings;
  Transfer patients to recovery areas, ensuring their safety and comfort;
  Perform post-operative instrument and supply counts to maintain surgical accuracy.
• Additional requirements
  :
  Stay updated on surgical advancements, medical terminology, and new technologies;
  Work collaboratively with surgical teams, nurses, and physicians;
  Uphold professional and ethical standards of practice in all procedures;
  Remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing surgical circumstances.

• Diploma or degree in surgical technology from an accredited program
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and aseptic procedures
• Physical ability to lift 23 kg and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adaptability in high-pressure environments
