Overview
Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
Duties- The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART officer, this position maintains standardization and evaluation oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve forces and ensure daily standardization and evaluation activities are in compliance with the policies of the Group Commander, 655 ISRW, IO AF and HQ AFRC and to provide training to reservists in the duties assigned.
Provides the ISR Group Commander and senior leadership with guidance on ISR Plans and Programs for execution of Tasking, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TPED) and Task, Post, Process and Use (TPPU) in support of combatant commanders. - DUTY 1: Provides expertise on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations in support of HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, All-Source/Fusion Analysis, and intelligence products for execution of ISR taskings, collection, processing, analysis and dissemination.
Serves as an AFRC ISR Flight supervisor/expert for highly technical, diverse multi-intelligence operations and training functions. - DUTY 2: Organizes, plans, and oversees the activities of the Group's operations and training programs.
Exercises responsibility and authority for planning and managing command/control oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve ISR forces supporting the Air Force, DoD, and National level Agencies. Develops goals and work objectives that integrate group and operational and training objectives. Gives advice and counsel on operational and training policies, procedures, mission objectives, organizational design and administrative matters. - DUTY 3: Serves as an AFRCISR expert, interfacing with AFRC and AF ISR Operations Centers, to maintain command/control/oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve Forces within the ISR Group as well as Regular Air Force (RegAF) ISR units, missions, and operations.
Individual may represent the ISR Group Commander, when assigned, and supervises and interfaces with AF JSR Operations Center Chiefs and associated personnel while interfacing with RegAF counterparts within the AF JSR Operations Centers (to include but not limited to AF ISR Agency, NASIC, DCGS, ISR and Targeting Operations Centers), and external customers.
- The incumbent may be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments (TDY)

- Must be a current member of the AF Reserves or willing/qualified to join
- If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at:
