Document Control Specialist Job Description

The Document Control Specialist supports engineering and quality teams by managing engineering change orders, controlling technical documentation, and ensuring accurate release of drawings and data across CAD and ERP systems. This role is critical to maintaining product integrity, compliance, and cross-functional alignment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Manage and support the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, ensuring accurate and timely updates to controlled documentation.
• Assist with drawing release and revision activities using CAD and document management systems.
• Maintain and revise drawings within Vault (Solid Works) and Product Center (Creo).
• Upload released drawings and documentation to SharePoint in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform extensive ERP/SAP work, including BOM maintenance, component updates, part configurations, and purchase information records.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams across multiple business units.
• Support quality documentation control to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance.

• 2+ years of document control experience, preferably within a quality or engineering environment.
• 2+ years of ERP experience, with a strong preference for SAP.
• Experience with engineering documentation, drawing release, and change control processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with product lifecycle management concepts.
• Experience as a Quality Technician or entry-level Quality Engineer with document control expertise.

This position operates in a manufacturing and office work setting, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, offering some flexibility. This is a Contract position based out of Dayton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dayton,OH.
