Overview
J.F. Taylor is seeking a Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) Modeler to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio. This individual will provide engineering model support for scenario-based campaign planning by creating systems models using SysML 2.0 or similar Design Innovation Environment (DIE) tools.
ResponsibilitiesDaily responsibilities include collaborating with all-source analysts and other stakeholders to develop models of specific regional scenarios, documenting modeling processes, and adhering to agreed-upon delivery timelines. The candidate will support the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community, providing meaningful contributions in a fast-paced environment.
Position Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, science, or mathematics.
- Strong foundation in systems engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with scenario-based modeling for campaign planning and execution.
- Proficiency in Systems Modeling Language (SysML), ideally version 2.0.
- Familiarity with Cameo, AFSIM, NGTS, ArcGIS, or similar tools.
- Technical leadership experience.
- Familiarity with INDOPACOM, EUCOM, and CENTCOM AORs.
- Experience processing and analyzing large datasets, preferably with AI/ML models.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Must reside within commuting distance to WPAFB, OH or be willing to relocate.
Will be commensurate with experience.
Employment TypeFull-Time/Part-Time (Full-Time).
Level of Clearance RequiredActive DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
