Overview
The Electronics Test Technician is responsible for performing intermediate to advanced testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies and systems. This role supports production and engineering teams by ensuring products meet quality and performance standards through rigorous testing procedures.
Responsibilities- Conduct functional and performance testing of electronic components, assemblies, and systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other diagnostic tools.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation toidentifyand resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits tocomponentlevel.
- Document test results, failures, and corrective actionsin accordance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering to improve test processes and support root cause analysis.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Assistin developing and updating test procedures and protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives andleanmanufacturing practices.
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technologyor related field preferred.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience- 2-4years of experience in electronics testing.
- Proficiency in using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools:power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator.
- Strong understanding of analog,digital and RFcircuits.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiaritywithaerospace standards such as AS9100, FAA regulations, and IPC-A-610/620, J-Std 001.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Employees are required to wear safety equipment consisting of: closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, heel straps, wrist straps, and electro-static discharge lab coats while on the production floor and are occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, and minimal risk of electrical shock.
