The University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) is seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to join our team at Eglin AFB in sunny Florida. Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an Engineering Technician program OR currently enrolled with projected completion by Dec 2026 and able to show a current overall grade of 85/100 or better
  • Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment
  • Knowledge/Understanding of basic electrical circuit theory
  • Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
  • Candidate must have or be able to obtain a SECRET level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior military
  • General job experience
  • Use of software CAD packages (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
  • Knowledge/Understanding in radio frequency (RF) electronics (antennas, amplifiers, mixers, filters, couplers, detectors, transmission line cabling, etc.) and RF lab test equipment (RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Desire to continue education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
  • Welding (special test range fixtures)
