This person will work with the NDI team lead in support of evaluating, performing, integrating and advancing NDE methods for military aerospace applications. Inspection of aircraft structures, engines, and support components for damage due to in-service or manufacturing induced flaws will be performed on metallic, composite, hybrid, and nonmetallic materials. Inspections will be performed in accordance with existing standards or to qualify new processes meeting those standards.
Duties include day to day investigations on parts and components and data processing and evaluation. Operation and maintenance of ultrasonic equipment (shearwave, phased array, immersion) as well as other NDI disciplines/techniques as necessary to accomplish the testing requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science with 1 year of experience in NDE methodologies. OR Associate’s Degree (2 year) in Engineering/Science with 2 years of experience in NDE methodologies.
- ASNT or NAS
410 Level 2 in Ultrasound with sufficient experience/hours to achieve Level 3 within a year. - Software:
Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel. - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Due to the nature of this position US Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.
- A minimum of three years of directly related experience is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering or 8 years of experience in NDE methodologies.
- ASNT or NAS
410 Level 3 in Ultrasound. - Software:
Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel. - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Due to the nature of this position US Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and 20 years of experience in NDE methodologies.
- Software:
Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel. - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated Leadership Skills.
- ASNT or NAS
410 Level 3 in Ultrasound. - Due to the nature of this position US Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.
- Hands‑on experience with DoD equipment.
- ASNT or NAS
410 Level 3 Ultrasonics. - ASNT or NAS
410 Level 3 in multiple other NDI disciplines. - Familiar with requirements to maintain NAS
410 certification. - Proficient in:
Eddy Current, Ultrasound, Radiography, tomography, liquid penetrants. - Eddy Current experience.
- Hands‑on experience with NDI of composite materials.
- Secret Clearance.
- Experience with mentoring and training junior level associates.
