Software Engineer, Research Scientist
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for working, as part of a diverse and skilled technical team, to write and test software in high level languages, and to develop and test signal processing algorithms from concept to implementation. Eligibility to obtain a United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field;
- Familiarity with the language P
- Demonstrated familiarity with optimization and applications to modeling and simulation
- Demonstrated work involving autonomy architecture implementation and documentation
- Demonstrated familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
- Due to the nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship is required
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
- Master's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) programming in algorithm level languages such as Matlab/Simulink, Python, C# or similar
- Demonstrated experience performing research and technical work supporting DoD customers, including but not limited to AFRL
- Research involving parallel distributed autonomy applications
- Experience with using Linux shell scripting (bash, dash, ksh, etc.)
- Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills
