Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a technically challenging position working across a range of industry leading equipment from concept to completion?

Do you want training and development to become an Application Engineer, interfacing directly with customers and multi-disciplinary teams across a range of pioneering, bespoke engineering projects?

This global engineering business offers a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with project management, engineering, customers and key stakeholders on a variety of highly specialized, purpose built equipment. You'll be trained to play a key role in developing customer relationships, conducting site visits to analyze and present specific proposals, developing innovative concepts. You will play a key role in mechanical design, develop automated equipment concepts to meet customer requirements whilst providing cost estimations, detailed quotes and support project launch.

On offer is a training and development program to progress into an Application Engineer, leveraging your existing mechanical design skills.

• Work cross-functionally with project managers, engineering teams and key stakeholders on pioneering automation engineering projects
• Responsible for initial design, development and prototyping of brand-new, purpose manufacturing equipment
• Be trained to conduct estimations, costing and proposals, to become an Application Engineer
• Around 10% travel to customer facilities to develop relationships and present proposals
• Specific OEM training, career progression options and a great company package on offer

• Mechanical Design Engineer with experience designing bespoke equipment/ machines
• Effective communicator and able to travel to customer sites (around 10%)
• Preferably hold a Mechanical Engineering Degree
