Description & Requirements

What You Will Do
  • Lead a technical team for the recovery of parts and equipment in a fast-paced logistics environment.

  • Work in a light electro/mechanical manufacturing environment while coordinating and implementing new recovery programs.

  • Assure continued customer satisfaction by maintaining assembly/disassembly processes including supporting workflow that supports KPI’s such as quality, cost, and delivery.

  • Reduce value-add cost by initiating and implementing more efficient assembly/disassembly methods.

  • Partner with supervisory staff to maintain a safe/clean environment by constructing Safe Job Procedures and Electrostatic safe work areas.

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to reduce cycle time, eliminate waste, and minimize variation in repair, recovery, and logistics processes.

  • Provide performance information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.

  • Interpret complex designs, circuits and schematics. Applies knowledge of engineering principals to planning, preparation of plans and specifications for new equipment, sub-assemblies, or parts.

  • Develop documentation and associated training for equipment recovery that yields designated quality specifications while optimizing labor resources.

  • Participate in production meetings to plan training, distribution of work, and solve workflow issues.

  • Provide guidance, direction and instructions to other assigned personnel and, as required, co-workers, in lieu of direct supervision.

  • Drive employee performance improvement and development including gap closures as needed.

What You Will Need
  • Ability to demonstrate electrical and mechanical skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and basic networking.

  • Ability to demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and through writing.

  • Ability to work effectively with a mixed Union and Contract industrial work force.

Education & Experience Requirements

Minimum: BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification

  • 3+ years of experience as an engineer in a manufacturing or service environment
