Long-term contract-to-hire role, 12+ months | Full-time with full benefits. Kelly Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an industrial technology client in Dayton, OH.
Targeted pay range: $50-65/hr
OverviewThis role supports the development of advanced positioning, control, and automation products for construction and mining equipment, leveraging IMUs, GNSS, lasers, optics, and sonics, to deliver precise horizontal and vertical machine guidance from concept design through large-scale production.
Responsibilities- Contributes technical expertise in the development of hardware components, with focus on inertial sensor technology, such as IMUs.
- Identifies and develops new technologies for new or existing products.
- Responsible for complete design development and documentation.
- Responsible for circuit analysis, bench and validation testing support, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Assumes leadership role in finding expeditious resolution of critical complex technical problems.
- Conducts and generates input to design reviews.
- Supports successful transition of completed products to manufacturing by providing pertinent ECNs and contributing to writing test procedures and designing test fixtures (entry level).
- Contributes information and support to presentations to customers and to discussions of technical issues at program reviews.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-7 years of relevant experience
- Strong electronic circuit design expertise.
- Strong testing and circuit debugging experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical specifications, test plans, and documentation.
- Electronic circuit research experience.
- Familiarity with C and C++ firmware development.
