Position:
Project Manager

AES seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee large projects ($2M to $50M), interpret contractual terms, and manage project responsibilities. This role involves managing scope, schedule, budget, and risk across transmission & distribution projects, coordinating material and labor procurement.

Work hours: Typically Monday – Friday at our Dayton, OH office, with possible weekends, holidays, and irregular hours.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute multi-year, multi-million dollar transmission & distribution construction projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met.
  • Follow project management standards, including schedules, cash flows, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders to meet project milestones.
  • Develop specifications and scopes of work with engineering and supply chain teams, ensuring contract compliance and minimizing change orders.
  • Collaborate with Construction Management to execute activities efficiently.
  • Track and review project costs, provide forecasts, and prepare detailed cost reports.
  • Define material requirements and assist procurement in inventory and cost management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Engineering required;
    Master’s preferred.

    Experience: 3-5 years managing multi-million dollar projects, preferably in electric utilities. PMP certification is a plus. Must be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and familiar with contracting, purchasing policies, and project management tools like SAP, Oracle P6, and Copperleaf C55.
