Overview
Northwest Allen County Schools (NACS) in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a full-time in-person School Psychologist for the upcoming school year. NACS is a growing, high-performing school district known for its strong parent support and dedicated team of educators. It continues to be one of the most sought-after districts in the Fort Wayne area. The ideal candidate for this position works well in a team atmosphere, enjoys working in a school environment, and has a heart for understanding complex student needs.
This candidate will join our team of five experienced and collaborative school psychologists.
Northwest Allen County Schools serves approximately 8,300 students with approximately 18% qualifying for special education services (aligned with the Indiana state average). Our students attend one of eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. A new third middle school is scheduled to open for the 2026-27 school year.
Location and License- Location: Must be willing to work in Fort Wayne, IN on site.

Required:
Indiana School Psychologist license from the Indiana Department of Education
- Collaborate with building staff to support the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding referrals, evaluation processes, and results to ensure consistent and equitable decision-making.
- Participate in and support the coordination of MTSS intervention team meetings within assigned buildings in partnership with the school counselor.
- Support data-based decision making within MTSS and special education processes.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement appropriate evaluation plans based on individual student needs.
- Provide professional input during Case Conference Committee meetings, as required or requested.
- Interpret evaluation results for educators and families to support appropriate instructional and intervention planning.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in interactions with staff, families, and students.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant evaluation reports.
- Maintain strong organizational systems to ensure required timelines are met and evaluation data is shared with stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Participate in regular school psychologist collaboration meetings to review cases, problem-solve, and engage in ongoing professional learning.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Contract is for 200 days per year (180 student attendance days, plus 20 additional working days to be used on non-student attendance days), beginning July 1, 2026.
- Salary is based on relevant years of experience, with a range of $56,195 to $89,402
