Architectural Design/Engineering Instructor
General Description:
The architectural design/engineering instructor will provide instructional activities which are consistent with the objectives of the architectural design/engineering curriculum and the MVCTC in general. The instructor will direct the learning experiences of the students, including skill development, human relations, and the leadership qualities which are necessary to obtain gainful employment and/or continued education in the architectural design/engineering fields. Youth activities (Skills
USA) are an important integral part of the curriculum and the instructor will be expected to guide the program.
Qualifications:
* Must hold or qualify for a provisional Career-Technical Workforce Development (CTWD) license or five-year CTWD professional license eligible to teach the courses in the architectural design/engineering program.
* Current work in the field of architectural design/engineering preferred.
* Must be technologically literate. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Suite and be able to learn new software packages.
* Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and tools of the architectural design/engineering program.
* Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned.
* Ability to move about the classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior/learning.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and peers.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students.
* Ability to make home and work site visits to monitor the student or confer with employers as required.
* The ability to work closely with team members possessing a variety of backgrounds.

185 days
Salary: $56,609 to $117,746
