Intervention Specialist for Middle/High School ED Classroom
Position Description
* Manage classroom and implements appropriate programs
* Develop and implements IEPs
* Conduct and participate in team meetings
* Supervise classroom assistants
Essential Functions
* Ensure safety of students
* Develop schedules and lesson plans for classroom appropriate to student's IEPs
* Develop and implement behavior management plans
* Communicate with classroom assistants necessary information for student program implementation
* Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning
* Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
* Demonstrate a positive work ethic
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
* Appropriate State of Ohio teaching license (Intervention Specialist)
* Experience and/or training which evidences the ability to instruct students with severe behavioral challenges
