What You'll Do:
  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals, including state curriculum and expanded core areas (communication, self-determination, advocacy, technology, career education, and family education).
  • Implement best practices to support student participation, academic achievement, and social inclusion. Assist multidisciplinary teams with eligibility evaluations for students with hearing loss.
  • Provide direct IEP services and support school personnel in implementing accommodations.
  • Evaluate and document student progress, sharing results with team members.
  • Teach students to use and care for assistive devices in the classroom, home, and community.
  • Serve as a resource to teachers and staff, resolving participation-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and timely reporting.
What You'll Bring:
  • Required Ohio State Board of Education credentials.
  • Knowledge of pedagogy, hearing intervention strategies, and assistive technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Commitment to high-performance standards and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
