Educational Assistant - Long Term Substitute - Springboro Junior High School

Position Overview

Educational Assistant – long‑term substitute for 2nd semester starting ASAP at Springboro Junior High School. Works with pupil(s) with identified special needs to provide academic and emotional support within the district's special education program. Reports to the building principal.

• Assists students in completing academic assignments and self‑help tasks in all curricular areas, working towards IEP goals.
• Works with small groups of students to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Accompanies student(s) on class field trips or community experiences.
• Serves as a resource person for the evaluation team conferring about the assigned students.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
• Assists assigned students with physical and personal daily tasks.
• Demonstrates positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Establishes a supportive and sympathetic relationship with students.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Valid Ohio Educational Aide Certificate (may be obtained after employment).
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting.

5 days a week – 7.25 hours per day. $15.00 per hour.
