Position SummaryThe Sinclair Industrial and Systems Engineering Technology concentrates on the latest methods for making businesses more productive and profitable. As American businesses strive to be more competitive in today’s global marketplace, it needs professionals who can make their companies work more efficiently and reduce costs.
Sinclair is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty for daytime courses to teach Flex Factor with area high school and middle schools within the Sinclair ecosystem. Flex Factor is a student-led, project-based curriculum to engage and inform students about careers in STEM and Advanced Manufacturing, utilizing: problem identification; product design and ideation; business modeling; and presentation creation and delivery.
The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,016 per credit hour assigned to teach. For the full list of available courses to teach, please explore our course catalog. This position is open only to applicants who reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky
, or who are able to perform work within one of these states. Sinclair Community College restricts part-time employment to approved states due to employment, tax, and benefits compliance requirements.

- Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department
- Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning
- Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employрез appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote student(cipher) success
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the content area required
- Minimum of three years of working experience in the field or industry required
- Possession of a widely accepted credential, license, or certification in the field or industry preferred
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community
- Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
