Locum - Pediatric Anesthesiologist (Physician) Dayton, OH Are you a dedicated anesthesiologist with a passion for pediatric care seeking a flexible, rewarding locum opportunity? Join Dayton Children's Hospital for a critical assignment providing anesthesia coverage in a thriving hospital setting. This position offers a chance to contribute to a tertiary care center s outstanding patient care while enjoying competitive compensation and supportive team collaboration.
This role plays a vital part in supporting surgical and anesthesia teams, ensuring safe and effective anesthesia management for neonatal to adult patients in a busy Level I Trauma Center. Your expertise will facilitate smooth operations in a high-volume environment with a collegial team of professionals committed to excellence.
Required Skills:
Valid medical license and DEA certification in Ohio Board certification or eligible in Anesthesiology, with pediatrics preferred Ability to supervise CRNAs in a team-based care model
Experience with a high volume of surgical cases (50-60/day) Strong clinical judgment and patient safety focus Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Nice to Have
Skills:
Experience in a Level I Trauma Center Prior pediatric anesthesia practice experience Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and safety protocols specific to neonatal and adult patients Preferred
Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Current Ohio medical license and DEA registration At least 2 years of anesthesia practice, preferably in a hospital setting with pediatric anesthesia Experience supervising CRNAs beneficial Other Requirements:
Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM Participation in the hospital s credentialing process, including fingerprinting and verification of certifications Compliance with all hospital policies and state/federal regulations Ability to travel as needed, with travel expenses reimbursed per policy We invite qualified physicians ready to make a meaningful impact on patient care to apply today.
