** Dayton Children’s Hospital, a freestanding, independent, Level I trauma center children’s hospital in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting for a full-time Pediatric Palliative Care Physician Leader to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Palliative Care. This is an employed position and includes a very competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. This is a unique opportunity to lead, grow, and transform a comprehensive palliative care program at a mission-driven children’s hospital known for excellence, collaboration, and heart.
** Department Specific Job Details:
**** Position details include:
*** Dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in pediatric palliative care
* Consultative inpatient and ambulatory care
* Home Care based program for patients nearing end-of-life
* Dedicated social work support
* Multi-disciplinary support from chaplain services, child life, and psychology
* Supportive and nurturing environment with staff and other subspecialties
** Candidate Qualifications
*** Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship,
* Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine
* Eligible for or able to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license
* MD or DO candidates will be considered.
* Demonstrated leadership ability or strong interest in program development and mentorship.
* Excellent communication skills and desire a long-term, stable leadership role
