Events Manager
The Events Manager plays a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of Techbridge's signature events and experiences throughout the year. As a vital member of the Strategic Events team, the Events Manager will oversee all aspects of event management from concept development and budgeting to execution and post-event analysis.
This role requires a creative, highly organized professional with strong communication skills, a passion for social impact, and the ability to deliver high-quality experiences that inspire, engage, and drive meaningful outcomes. The Events Manager will ensure every event reflects the Techbridge brand and provides an exceptional experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Execution- Plan, coordinate, and execute annual in-person and virtual events for attendees, including CXO gatherings, the Digital Ball, networking sessions, cocktail receptions, and corporate golf outings.
- Manage all event logistics end-to-end, including registration, invitations, vendor relations, venue selection, dcor, catering, audiovisual, and staffing.
- Create detailed project plans, production schedules, and run-of-show documents to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee volunteer and intern engagement, providing clear direction and training for event support.
- Develop innovative event formats and experiences that align with Techbridge's mission and audience engagement goals.
- Manage event budgets, track expenditures, and reconcile invoices while maintaining financial accountability.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with venues, vendors, and suppliers to maximize value and impact.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and creative solutions to deliver high-quality experiences within budget.
- Manage registrations for all internal and external attendees.
- Circulate registration reports for all events to all stakeholders.
- Partner with the Marketing team to develop event promotion strategies, collateral, and digital campaigns.
- Ensure all event materials, design assets, and signage are consistent with Techbridge's brand identity.
- Create opportunities for sponsor recognition and ensure fulfillment of sponsorship benefits.
- Manage guest communications, including invitations, confirmations, and follow-up correspondence.
- Develop and manage all post-event reports.
- Ensure that all event platforms are updated and ready.
- Manage, update, and keep track of all events, sponsors, award recipients, honorees, volunteers, EA's, in one central database.
- Lead the planning and production of virtual and hybrid events, including platform setup, speaker coordination, pre-records, breakout sessions, and live-stream management.
- Ensure a smooth, interactive digital experience for attendees, speakers, and sponsors.
- Develop and distribute post-event surveys to gather participant feedback and measure success against goals.
- Analyze event performance metrics and propose improvements for future programming.
- Maintain an event calendar, timelines, and key deliverables to ensure alignment across departments.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in event planning, hospitality, or nonprofit program management.
- Proven success in managing large-scale events and fundraisers (in-person and virtual).
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting for invitations and marketing materials.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and serve culturally diverse audiences with professionalism and empathy.
- Experience managing volunteers and collaborating with senior stakeholders and community partners.
- Strong budget management skills with the ability to deliver impactful events on modest budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, and major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, Twitter / X).
- Ability to use fundraising platforms like Give Smart, Classy, etc.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for event execution.
- Event management certifications such as CESP, CMP, CGMP, or similar.
- Advanced Salesforce and event software experience.
- Familiarity with emerging event technology and digital engagement tools.
