Come work at a beautiful picturesque 1860's homestead setting up and hosting a variety of events such as weddings and receptions graduation parties corporate meetings and outings and bereavement. The City of Kettering Parks Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is recruiting to fill a temporary part-time Assistant Facility Coordinator position at Polen Farm. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for additional income outside of typical work hours.
Examples of Duties
Responsible for supervision and security of facility including opening and closing duties;
• Provides exceptional customer service and communication;
• Responsible for understanding explaining and enforcing all policies and procedures established by the department;
• Handles with good judgment all grievances and/or disciplinary cases involving renters and guests; notifies supervisor of issues;
• Maintains accurate records including incident forms and other assigned reports;
• Carries out assigned duties with little supervision;
• Carries out additional responsibilities as assigned;
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance required;
• Performs other related duties as assigned. Pay range is $11.85 to $13.35 per hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate's related skills knowledge and abilities.
Typical Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while serving as a steward of Polen Farm. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills use good judgment be flexible and be able to adapt to various situations as they arise. They should have the ability to work independently and function within broad guidelines with minimum direction. Must have ability to stand and walk for long periods of times during events and physically reset tables and chairs after each event.
Candidates should be able to work a variety of hours mostly weekend afternoons and evenings to accommodate scheduled events.
