The Yard Associate’s primary responsibility is to consistently provide our customers with world class service that supports our mission of being “the most helpful hardware stores on the planet.” Outstanding service alone is not enough; the Associate must also ensure efficient yard operations and adherence to safety standards.

• Capable of handling and loading bulk goods ranging from lumber to cement into customers’ vehicles
• Pickup and delivery of customer orders
• Use scales to weigh bulk products, set pricing, and track stock levels
• Merchandise products, maintain specific yard areas, and support store management
• Represent the company’s core values and expectations with a positive, sales‑focused attitude

• Must be at least 18 years old to drive a forklift

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Trade skills combined with a personality that supports our core values and mission

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must lift 100+ pounds frequently and, in certain departments, lift 100 pounds and carry 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to hear, understand, and communicate orally and in writing in normal conversation
• Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and work at heights
• Experience in forklift, skip‑loader, and power saw use

• Must possess a current, valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Upon hire, must be willing to obtain and maintain forklift certification

Rate of Pay: $17 - $18 per hour to start, depending on experience.
