Best Western Plus Dixon–Davis is seeking an experienced, hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead hotel operations, direct all sales efforts, drive revenue growth, and actively promote the hotel within the Dixon, Vacaville and greater Davis community.
Position SummaryThe Hotel General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the hotel
, including operations, financial results,
all sales and business development efforts
, marketing, and team leadership. This role serves as the primary driver of sales strategy and execution, as well as the hotel’s ambassador within the local community.
- Oversee daily hotel operations including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage (breakfast)
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop department leaders and staff
- Lead, manage, and execute all hotel sales efforts
, including corporate, group, local negotiated, and transient business - Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR
- Actively solicit new business through direct sales calls, networking, and community involvement
- Promote the hotel within the community by building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, schools, sports teams, and organizations
- Manage key accounts, negotiate contracts, and oversee group blocks and pricing strategies
- Collaborate with ownership on revenue goals, budgeting, and forecasting
- Analyze financial performance, STR reports, and market trends to drive revenue growth
- Ensure compliance with Best Western brand standards, QA inspections, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee guest satisfaction, service recovery, and online reputation management
- 3–5+ years of hotel management experience;
General Manager experience preferred - Proven experience leading hotel sales efforts and driving revenue
- Strong understanding of revenue management, pricing strategies, and market segmentation
- Experience in limited-service or select-service hotels preferred
- Knowledge of Best Western brand standards a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial statements and operational reports
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property; reasonable accommodations available
- Annual salary range:
starting at $80,000
, depending on experience - Eligibility for performance-based incentives
