Job Summary
Perform a full range of advanced cleaning tasks, primarily maintaining hood exhaust vents and floor degreasing, individually or as part of a group, on a daily basis within residential and retail dining facilities. Remove, clean, scrub, and reinstall hood baffles, drip pans, filters, and floors for and around each hood vent. Complete general custodial duties including disinfecting/cleaning restrooms, vacuuming carpets, upholstered furniture, bedding and other designated materials.
Minimum Qualifications- No minimum education required.
- Experience performing advanced custodial work.
- Experience using and knowledge of basic materials and equipment used in custodial work (e.g., carpet cleaners, vacuums, floor polishers).
- Knowledge of cleaning solvents, degreasers, disinfectants, floor finishes, and other related chemicals used in custodial work.
- Strong customer service and communication skills along with the ability to complete tasks while customers are present, with safety a high priority.
- Ability to work safely in physically challenging spaces and understand and comply with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals used.
- Skills to determine the type of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Experience with dining custodial duties, primarily hood cleaning.
- Skills to organize and prioritize workload to complete work effectively.
- Knowledge of standard safety precautions and rules used in custodial work.
- Basic customer service skills to interact with a diverse population.

- Salary: $21.56/hr – $27.90/hr (Step 4 – $22.87/hr)
