Job Summary
Under the direction of the Head Coach, serve as the Assistant Football Coach and assist the Head Coach in all duties assigned relative to an NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program. Assist with all aspects of coaching and team management. Assist in the conduct of pre-season, regular season and permissible out of season practices and training programs. Travel to away games and teaches those strategies that are related to football at the collegiate level of competition.
Assist with the recruitment of prospective students for participation in intercollegiate athletic program.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and certified bi-annually.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the sport of football.
- Knowledge of the rules and playing strategies of football. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.
- Skills to express ideas clearly, concisely, and logically, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of campus, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- 70% - Coaching & Academic Guidance
- 30% - Recruiting, Development & Community Service
- Salary or Pay Range: 50,000/annually - 60,000/annually; commensurate with experience.

Work Environment
