Test Analyst

We have an exciting and fantastic opportunity for a Test Analyst to work as part of our IT team here at Simply.

The role of the Test Analyst is to work closely with the development teams and liaise with the wider IT and business teams, to ensure our processes, software applications and systems meet the specified requirements and functions as intended to the highest of standards prior to release.

We want someone who knows they’ve got something special to contribute and is passionate about being part of what we do.

The successful candidate must be someone who is analytical, evaluative and has excellent problem solving abilities. You also need to be a great communicator as a key part of this role is being able to explain the information to both those in IT and across the business.

• Creating, maintaining, and executing test plans, ensuring that a high level of testing has been performed across all our initiatives
• Establishing close working relationships with all members of wider IT and the business

• Applying agreed standards to specify and perform testing
• Designing test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre‑determined criteria to test that systems, products and services fulfil the acceptance criteria and deliver the predicted business benefits
• Executing test cases and scenarios, recording and reporting test outcomes
• Identifying and documenting software defects or issues encountered during testing and working with development teams to facilitate their resolution
• Analysing and reporting on test activities, results, issues, and risks including the work of others
• Engaging effectively with business users to aid in the generation of high‑quality test cases
• Participating in requirement, design, and specification reviews, and using this information to design test plans and test conditions
