£35,587 – £39,487 Pro Rata (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Practice Nurse to join a friendly and supportive GP practice based in Daventry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care within primary care. You will play a key role in managing long-term conditions, delivering health promotion advice, and supporting the wider clinical team.

• Management of long-term conditions
• Wound care and leg ulcer management
• Cervical cytology
• Immunisations and vaccinations
• Supporting patients with lifestyle changes
• Managing and prioritising your own caseload
• Delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse
• Evidence of ongoing CPD

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience
• At least 1 year recent primary care or community nursing experience
• Experience managing long-term conditions
• Competent in wound care, cytology, and immunisations

Knowledge &

Skills:

• Strong understanding of health promotion strategies
• Awareness of clinical governance in primary care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage difficult conversations sensitively
• Confident in managing caseloads independently
• Computer literate
• Calm under pressure

• Relevant nursing or health degree
• Mentor/teaching qualification
• System One experience
• QOF knowledge
• Travel health assessments
• Microsuction
• Teaching or mentorship experience
