Computer Numerical Control Machinist

Overview

We’re seeking a Machinist / CNC Operator (Mill & Lathe) to join a high-performing manufacturing operation in Davenport, IA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a precision-driven environment and enjoys working across both CNC and manual machining processes.

• Fabricate commercial, prototype, and short-run machine components from raw material to print
• Develop and modify CNC programs for mills, lathes, and machining centers
• Operate CNC and manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, band saws, and drill presses
• Design and utilize fixtures and jigs to improve repeatability and efficiency
• Select proper tooling, feed rates, and coolant requirements for specific materials and parts
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications
• Prepare material stock using band saws, sand blasters, and related equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times

• 3+ years of experience as a Machinist or CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Strong understanding of milling, drilling, and machining fundamentals

• Experience working with legacy parts or without prints
• Experience in high-mix / low-volume and prototype environments
• Exposure to fabrication in industrial or heavy manufacturing settings
