As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director, Operations Logistics & Data Analytics is responsible for the leadership of a team that will ensure efficiency within the Operations Division of Impact Life. Logistics oversight includes streamlining a structure and processes to provide optimal scheduling of both human and capital resources across the Donor Outreach and Collections functions. The Director will also be responsible for analysis of data to create actionable plans and support projects and process improvement initiatives across the Operations Division.
This position is located in our Davenport, Iowa headquarters, or in one of our major hubs in Earth City, Missouri or Springfield, Illinois.
Qualifications include bachelor’s degree with preference given to candidates with a graduate degree. Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Operations experience are required; blood center experience is helpful.

Director, Operations Logistics & Data Analytics — Duties and Responsibilities- Oversight of direct and indirect team responsible for scheduling and logistics within Donor Outreach and Collections. Schedule to maximize efficiency of human and capital resources across the four-state operating area, including fixed donor centers and mobile collection operations.
- Use an understanding of cost structure to guide decisions on utilizing resources efficiently; make recommendations to match resources to demand.
- Help analyze staffing metrics and trends and set targets with operational leadership.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and use standard PI techniques to build collaboration around required changes. Ensure metrics related to the initiative are agreed upon and monitored before, during, and after the change to ensure the desired outcome.
- Maintain a data-driven approach to decision making; make recommendations based on financial, donor/community satisfaction, safety, and employee engagement metrics.
- Maintain strong skills in using various technology tools; gather and connect data points to produce outputs that drive decision making and are explainable to others across the organization.
- Develop and launch a focused and consistent approach to predictive analytics to forecast operations in the coming weeks and months.
- Have strong knowledge of data points and pare down to the most critical metrics; ensure scorecards align with organizational targets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data sources and ensure optimal system collaboration and functionality.
- Collaborate with external national organizations to maximize data use from their databases for decision making and benchmarking against other blood centers.
- Provide data support for the annual budget process to set weekly registration goals and other key assumptions; work closely with Donor Outreach and Collections leadership to ensure an efficient process.
- Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Working experience in logistics and/or scheduling preferred.
- Equivalent combination of demonstrated work experience and education may be considered.
- Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communications with diverse audiences.
