Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company with a main office in Seymour, Indiana and satellite offices in Valparaiso, Indiana;
Evansville, Indiana;
St. Louis, Missouri;
Elizabethtown, Kentucky;
Jackson, Tennessee;
Knoxville, Tennessee;
Williamsville, Illinois;
Elkhart, Iowa, and Davenport, Iowa. Aquatic Control has been in the lake and pond management business for 60 years. Our staff consists of fisheries biologists and technicians with a combined 500+ years of experience in aquatic vegetation management, fisheries management, product sales, and aquatic ecosystem management. We are hiring a full-time entry-level pond technician that will be stationed at our Davenport, Iowa office.

Responsibilities
  • EPA registered aquatic herbicide and algaecide application
  • Installation and removal of aerators, fountains, and compressed air systems
  • Fountain and aeration system repair
  • Aquatic plant surveys
  • Assisting with and writing vegetation management plans
  • General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds
  • Speaking at pond clinics, trade shows, conferences, and public meetings
Compensation
  • Hourly pay - $20 per hour
  • 401K with company match on first 4% after 1 year of employment
  • Company health insurance plan after 90 days
  • Earned Time Off after 90 days
  • Paid Time off on Company Approved Holidays
  • Time and a half hourly rate for overtime hours

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Able to pass a drug test, DOT physical, and background check
  • Basic knowledge of engine repair and electrical systems
  • Experience operating a truck, trailer, and boat
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
  • Ability to work an average of 50-60 hours per week during the summer
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs throughout the day in rugged conditions
