Senior Mainframe Developer with Easytrieve — Davenport, IA (Locals Only - Hybrid). 12 Months Contract.

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Lead with deep expertise in legacy systems and a strong command over Easytrieve, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, and CICS. The ideal candidate will lead development and support initiatives, mentor team members, and ensure the delivery of robust and scalable mainframe solutions.

• Lead and manage mainframe development and support teams across multiple projects.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Easytrieve, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, and CICS.
• Provide technical leadership in optimizing and modernizing Easytrieve programs.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and development environments.
• Drive performance tuning and enhancements for legacy applications.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards.

• 10+ years of Mainframe development experience with Easytrieve, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, and CICS.
• Proven ability to lead development and support teams across multiple projects.
• Strong problem-solving, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with security, audit, and regulatory compliance in mainframe environments.
