We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This role is designed to provide hands-on HR support today to a family-owned, multi-division business with a clear opportunity to grow into an HR Business Partner role over time.
The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the Director of HR and HR Business Partner to support employees and leaders across multiple McCarthy-Bush companies and locations. This position serves as a trusted HR resource at assigned sites and plays a key role in helping evolve HR from primarily administrative support to a more people-focused, consultative function.
This role is ideal for an HR professional who has a strong foundation in HR, enjoys working directly with leaders and employees, and is ready to grow their impact.
Responsibilities- Support employees and leaders across multiple McCarthy-Bush companies and locations.
- Serve as a trusted HR resource at assigned sites and help evolve HR from administrative support to a consultative function.
- Collaborate with the Director of HR and HR Business Partner to provide hands-on HR support.
- Partner with leaders to address people-related needs and drive HR initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Empathy balanced with directness when supporting employees and leaders.
- Organized, process-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Curious, open to learning, and able to ask why.
- Comfortable influencing without authority and building trust across teams.
- SHRM certification credential and several years of HR experience.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
