Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Med Surg/Ortho unit provides professional nursing care to patients with diagnoses including total knees, total hips, shoulder replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, dementia, and more. Responsibilities include administering medications, managing patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications, including Heparin, IV antibiotics, antithrombics, and narcotics.
Perform patient assessments and develop care plans.
Coordinate with the charge nurse and the care team to ensure a safe patient environment.
Assist with patient rounds and provide bedside shift reports.
Float to PCU and McDermott (behavioral health) as needed.
Requirements:
Current RN license
BLS Certification
Willingness to remove artificial nails to comply with care standards
Driver’s license required for submission to determine residence compliance
