We are looking to hire a Certified Hyperbaric Technician under the direction of the Safety Director. The role administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Institute Physician. Key accountabilities include operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers and associated systems and equipment; and upholding regulatory requirements of The Joint Commission, Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and National Fire Protection.

General Requirements
  • Certification as Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) obtained from an approved UHMS program (CHT or Hyperbaric Specialist preferred); or Respiratory Therapist, EMT‑Paramedic, Certified Medical Assistant, or Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Iowa.
  • Special Training:
    Basic Life Support.
  • More than 1 year of experience.
  • Comfortable with complex, detailed, sensitive topics.
  • High level of interpersonal skills for complicated situations.
Education
  • High school plus additional coursework.
  • Field of study:
    Health Care Studies or hyperbaric studies.
