A beautiful, treehouse-themed, state-of-the-art facility, the Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health focuses solely on welcoming and healing children and their families. New features include a specialized gym for gross motor skills therapy and mindfulness-based movement, a kitchen for therapeutic food education, an art and activity room, an education lab and multiple sensory rooms. For the family, we’ve included a Ronald McDonald Family Room, café, meditation room and more.

As a Psychiatric Technician Level 1 at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion.  Under general supervision and according to departmental policies and procedures and within the individual plan of care performs the role of physical and emotional care given to clients with mental illness and/or developmental delays. Is responsible to actively participate in safety management, milieu management, crisis intervention and prevention.

* Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff in both individual and group settings.
* Collaborates in day-to-day planning/development of person served programming and implementation of programs.
* May assist persons served with personal care. This can include bathing, shaving, washing hands, styling hair, using the bathroom, dressing, etc.)
* Actively participate in safety management, crisis intervention and prevention. This also may include monitoring, assessment, de-escalation, implementation of restrictive measures, and emergency psychiatric and medical care.
