The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality requirements/standards under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager.

- Develop test methods/procedures to support product validation efforts.
- Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisors for resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Design and implement methods for process control, improvement, and testing.
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, and reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customer quality representatives on quality issues and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain test equipment to traceable standards.
- Directly support and/or lead new product launches, including coordination with tooling vendors, communication with customers, and coordination of project activities from quoting through SORP.
- Create and maintain APQP documentation (Advanced Product Quality Planning), including control plans, process flows, and PFMEA activities (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Submitting PPAP documentation (Production Part Approval Process) in the customer format & software.
- Review blueprint specifications and generate the necessary PPAP documentation to ensure the upholding of specifications, standard processes, and operations while maintaining due diligence in product manufacturing.
- Evaluate causes of scrap and work toward the elimination of such defects.
- Coordinate with Operations to lead and direct associates on quality standards.
- Monitor tooling and assembly process equipment, ensuring calibration standards and process checkpoints are complete and within operational tolerances.
- Audit quality systems, ensuring adherence to Quality Management System procedures. Responsible for maintenance of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications.
- Participate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.

This job occurs in a manufacturing environment with heavy forklift traffic and seasonal temperature changes. Employees must wear steel-toed shoes and vests as part of their personal protective equipment (PPE). The work will be divided between an office setting and the production/warehouse area.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkFull Time, Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field;
Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent in experience, training, and/or Certifications. - 5+ years of experience in a supply chain/manufacturing environment
