Job Summary

This role is pivotal to Grace’s continued growth. You will establish the shop infrastructure, lead production planning, develop quotations, coordinate with customers, and ensure all work meets the highest electrical and safety standards. As the operation expands, you will build and lead a team of designers, technicians, and assembly professionals. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in electrical panel fabrication, UL508A certification, proven hands-on design and schematic skills, and leadership experience in a manufacturing or panel-shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Management — Build the infrastructure, processes, and workflow required to launch the Grace Value-Added Center.
  • Oversee panel design, assembly, wiring, and testing to meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure high reliability and on-time delivery.
  • Optimize workflow for efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost management.
  • Manage inventory, materials, and components to avoid shortages and maintain smooth operations.
  • Technical Oversight — Review and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure full compliance with UL508A, NEC, IEC, and NFPA standards.
  • Partner with Grace engineering teams to resolve design, manufacturability, or production challenges.
  • Implement robust quality control procedures and oversee final testing of all completed assemblies.
  • Team Leadership & Training — Lead, mentor, and develop panel builders, electricians, and technicians.
  • Deliver training on best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies.
  • Promote a culture centered on continuous improvement, accountability, and problem-solving.
  • Compliance & Safety — Enforce OSHA and company safety standards to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Maintain documentation, inspection records, and certification data for audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer & Vendor Relations — Engage directly with customers, engineers, and project managers to ensure specifications are understood and met.
  • Work with vendors to source electrical components, enclosures, wiring materials, and value-added components.
What You’ll Bring

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical panel manufacturing or a closely related field.
  • UL508A certification is required.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical schematics, PLCs, VFDs, relays, and industrial safety devices.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or comparable design tools.
  • Hands-on panel build experience with solid mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical degree preferred: BSEE, ASEE, or similar.
  • A versatile, “jack-of-all-trades” mindset—comfortable working across electrical, mechanical, and facility-related tasks.
