Customer Experience Agent (Customer Service) – Full Time – On‑Site – Davenport, Iowa

What You’ll Do

As a Customer Experience Agent, you will be the voice of Mid American—supporting residential customers with billing, service orders, credit inquiries, emergency situations, dispatching front‑line crews, and much more. You will work in a collaborative, tech‑enabled workspace and receive comprehensive training to help you succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Handle customer inquiries with empathy and efficiency.
  • Place service and emergency orders using internal systems.
  • Resolve billing and credit questions.
  • Research and follow up on customer accounts.
  • Support team operations and take on additional tasks as needed.
Training & Schedule
  • Training:
    Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM for 18–20 weeks.
  • Post‑training shifts:
    Variable shift times between Monday–Friday (7:00 AM–9:00 PM) and Saturday (7paths AM–5:00 PM).
  • Flexibility required for weekend, holiday, and on‑call rotations.
  • Storm support may require up to 12‑hour shifts during major events.

Qualifications
  • Completed high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 12 months of customer service or service industry experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accurate keyboarding and basic Microsoft Outlook proficiency.
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
  • Flexibility for varied shifts in a 24/7 environment.
  • Ability to remain seated in workstations for extended periods.
  • High attention to detail and multitasking skills.
