Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and support our accounting team with a high level of technical expertise, professionalism, and client service. Note: Only candidates located and/or willing to relocate to the Quad City metropolitan area will be considered.

• Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close.
• Review financial statements, tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065), and tax plans for quality and compliance.
• Conduct individual tax interviews and review completed returns.
• Provide guidance to staff on non‑routine accounting and reporting matters.
• Analyze client financial records and prepare informed recommendations.
• Maintain and grow client relationships through responsive support and proactive communication.
• Supervise workflow, projects, and performance for assigned team members.
• Manage administrative duties within the section, including billing, collections, and workpaper review.
• Participate in firm‑wide business development and attend manager‑level meetings.

• 6–8 years of related accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent combination).
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft 365 skills.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
• CPA certification preferred (or willingness to maintain applicable licenses and CPE requirements).
