This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization's accounting processes and gain exposure to a dynamic industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial analysis, compliance, and reporting to support the company's ongoing success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Review financial documents and records to identify trends, fluctuations, and inconsistencies.
- Create and deliver ad hoc financial reports tailored to organizational needs.
- Interpret and apply federal, state, and local tax regulations in accounting processes.
- Evaluate and update accounting procedures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures across all operations.
- Utilize accounting principles and concepts, including statutory regulations, to guide decision-making.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure seamless month-end close processes.
- Manage journal entries and bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
- Assist in reinsurance accounting tasks and provide insights based on industry standards. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing month-end close processes.
- Experience with reinsurance accounting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with financial principles and tax regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
