Advocates of guest experience welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates support in-store and digital services and solutions to drive adoption and guest loyalty, and are empowered to make shopping quick and easy at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and assisting with their needs.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain and demonstrate features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet; assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
• Assist with returns following store policies and procedures, partnering with Leaders as needed.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and restock supplies as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies, report hazards, and maintain a compliant environment.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, and returns, while complying with applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak times).

• Willingness to educate guests about products and services and engage around them.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office needs as required.
• Scan, move, and stock merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance is essential.
• Able to remain mobile for the duration of a shift; shift length may vary.
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
