Sheet Metal Worker

About the Role

A leading UK aerospace manufacturer is growing its metallics department and looking for experienced Sheet Metal Workers with aircraft / defence / precision engineering backgrounds.

If you're used to fabricating, forming, drilling, riveting, assembling, or working from complex aerospace drawings
, this environment will feel familiar from day one.

This is not general fabrication - this is precision, tight-tolerance, regulated aerospace work.

• Fabrication and forming of aerospace components using jigs, fixtures, press and hand tools

• Working from detailed technical drawings, route cards and aerospace work instructions

• Riveting, drilling, deburring, fettling and assembly of metallic components

• Ensuring work meets AS9100 quality requirements

• Completing documentation accurately and maintaining traceability

• Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams

• Proven experience in aerospace sheet metal
  , aircraft structures, metallic assembly, or similar precision engineering

• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

• Skilled in hand tools, rivet guns, drills, skins, frames & brackets

• Strong awareness of quality, safety and right-first-time standards

• Ex-forces mechanical trades (REME/RAF Aircraft Tech, Royal Navy Engineering) strongly encouraged
