Salary: Up to £50k basic (Neg DOE)

Location: Darwen, Lancashire

Hours: Week 1:
Mon‑Fri 8.30am‑5pm;
Week 2:
Mon‑Thurs 8am‑5pm, Fri 8am‑2pm

Opportunity: Due to internal progression, we are now offering a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales estimator to join our rapidly expanding Engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate cost estimates from technical drawings
• Create labour/material costings and routing information
• Liaise with suppliers and manage sub‑contract requirements
• Prepare and input full quotations for customers
• Handle enquiries, provide technical support, and resolve queries
• Work closely with internal teams to keep projects on track

Qualifications:

• Time‑served/shop floor experience in fabrication or engineering
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and RFQs
• Confident discussing technical requirements/solutions with customers both face‑to‑face and over the phone
• Experience in estimating, technical sales, or account management
• Previously achieved circa £1 million in direct sales per year
• Ideally experienced mentoring or managing a small team of estimators

Working location/environment:

• Darwen based with travel to customer sites
