Science Teacher Key Stage 3

Position: Science Teacher – Key Stage 3
Humly is working in partnership with a secondary school to recruit a Science Teacher to deliver mixed science lessons across Key Stage 3, starting from February and continuing until the end of the Summer term.

This role would suit a confident and adaptable practitioner who can engage pupils across a range of abilities and deliver high-quality science teaching within a supportive department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil progress and maintaining positive behaviour in the classroom.

This is a long-term role and will be paid to scale under AWR from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Teaching mixed science across KS3

* Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons

* Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

* Managing classroom behaviour effectively

* Supporting pupil engagement and understanding in science

* Working collaboratively with the science department and wider staff team

What You’ll Bring

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching Science at secondary level

* Confidence delivering mixed-ability KS3 lessons

* Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

* A flexible, professional and proactive approach

Pay Structure

* From £168.80 per day
   (AWR applied from day one – M1–M6 depending on experience)

Important Information

* Full-time teaching role

* Placement running from February until the end of the Summer term

* Enhanced DBS required (if required, Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
