Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse & Product Maintenance Worker acts as an integral member of the greater warehouse operations team, and is responsible for a variety of tasks relating to general warehouse workflows, as well as specialized product maintenance, upkeep, and customization.
What You’ll Do- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders using forklifts and other equipment
- Transport materials (both new and scrap) within the warehouse and replenish stock as needed
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks for deliveries and customer pickups
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and/or provide basic repair/maintenance services for industrial and transportation battery components
- Prepare paperwork for warranty/returns claims, process branch customer claims, and notify customers of results where applicable
- Participate in regularly scheduled inventory counts, maintain warehouse organization, and ensure equipment is in proper working condition
- Adhere to company and regulatory safety standards at all times (TDG, WHMIS, forklift operation, etc.)
- Support team members, assist in supporting new hires, and contribute to a positive workplace
- 3-5 years of comprehensive warehousing experience as minimum
- Basic mechanical or electrical systems knowledge (heavily preferred)
- Intermediate computer systems knowledge (previous experience with warehouse management, SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and other similar systems considered a strong asset), with the ability to pick up new systems with relative ease
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately categorize products, manage a large volume of SKUs, and navigate warehouse inventory systems effectively
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move loads ranging from 25-40 lbs, regularly lift and/or move loads ranging from 40-50lbs, and occasionally push, pull, move, or lift (with assistance) up to 100 lbs
- Clear and effective communicator in English, with the ability to provide precise updates and maintain timely information flow across multiple teams
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods, WHMIS, and forklift certifications (strong assets)
- Background checks, which may include criminal checks, employment verification, and professional references will be requested for the successful candidate
