Position: Truck Technician  | GTL Transportation | GTL Transportation

GTL Transportation started in 1986 and is now one of the largest privately owned truckload carriers in the province of Nova Scotia. Our development as a carrier was the result of a strategic combination of acquisitions and organic growth. This has allowed us to offer an interesting blend of truckload services across varied industries and demographics.

We have facilities in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario. We connect these domestic truckload markets daily and have extended our reach well into the USA. Chicago, Illinois;
Houston, Texas; and Greenville, South Carolina, are just a few of the many cities we serve on a regular basis.

    • Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and preventative maintenance of the company fleet to ensure efficient operation
  • Inspect, diagnose, and conduct repairs of the company fleet
  • Follow and practice workplace health and safety regulations and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste
  • Other related tasks, as assigned

    • Qualifications

  • Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Inspection certification required;
    Volvo experience is an asset
  • Red Seal Interprovincial Certification is an asset
  • Registered and in good standing with the province of Nova Scotia trade school
  • Ability to understand and use a computer and diagnostic tools
  • They have their own tools
  • A motivated self-starter who takes pride in what they do
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a fast learner
  • Always safety-oriented
